Dr. Kunal Kumar has over 6.5 years of post-MD experience in Psychiatry. He has been working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the School of Medical Sciences and Research, Greater Noida, since September 19, 2009.
Previously, he served as a Senior Resident in the Department of Psychiatry at Safdarjang Hospital and Vardhman Mahaveer Medical College (VMMC), New Delhi, where he completed a three-year tenure of teaching senior residency, ending on April 14, 2009.
He also worked as a postgraduate student at Patna Medical College for three years. He completed one year of non-PG junior Residency in the Department of Psychiatry at the Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences (IHBAS).
His responsibilities included managing the General Psychiatry OPD independently, treating patients in the Child Guidance and Psycho-Sexual Clinics, conducting counselling sessions, behavioural therapies, and psychotherapies, as well as career counselling. He also managed indoor patients, taught final-year MBBS students, and served as a member of the Mental Disability Board.
